You can call Richard “Big R” Macon a number of things: A Christian Hip-Hop Artist, singer, Pastor, Evangelist, entrepreneur, husband, parent, visionary or just a simple follower of Jesus Christ. All of these labels define him, but with his sophomore album “Rated R,” people can now get a better glimpse of the dept of this musically gifted man. 

“I desired to release an album that people could relate to. I wanted a cd that would be for real people with real situations that I have personally experienced and conquered, in hopes that it would be a blessing to who ever took a listen.” “With the first album, “Let’em Go, I demonstrated that my stance was for the one and only Jesus/Christ.” With the release of the second album “Rated R,” people will know that Jesus is active in my life in a very personal way, and secondly that Big R is gifted and anointed with swag like no other. And yes you can be anointed with outrageous swagger. Big R is not your average rap artist. He seems to have a burning desire to see the lost saved with an equal if not better relationship than he has with Christ. This burning desire is uniquely woven in his calling to Pastor. Big R is the Pastor of Faith that Works Christian Church, located in Lexington, NC. Yes! A real Pastor with real swagger. This combination is poised to win souls for the kingdom because Big R speaks the people’s language.

Though Big R has a lot on his plate be sure to stay tuned for all of Big R’s future projects and events, there will be a lot more good gospel music where Let’m Go, and Rated R, came from.
